23 Feb 01 – Tennesse Ice Storm

Last week, qsmxpilot was at a motel in North Little Rock. The night before, I had driven through the infamous Memphis ice storm from last week. I personally witnessed at least 6 tractor trailers jack-knifed off the side of the road, two of them completely on their sides. During that drive, I saw a State Trooper flashing his lights begging me to slow down as I approached him from behind. Four-wheel drive and studded snow tires seemed to confirm my Colorado plates seem to confirm to him I was OK as I passed him in the slushy ice.
The next morning, I started to build the show notes and was prompted to get on the road. I made it home by the end of the day, at 11pm MT. Sorry, there were no show notes for this date.
